Group of Kids Organized a Fundraiser to Help Save a Dog in Critical Condition
Eleven kids have shown their love for Lola, a 1-year-old Yorkshire terrier, that had lost one of its legs. The kids, who all wore purple shirts, attracted motorists along Churchill Street and convinced them to buy their lemonade costing $2 per glass for the benefit of their friend.
This isn’t the first time a fundraiser was organized in the town. Last year, the children of Tenafly raked in $720 for Pet ResQ Center in the hopes of helping Wasabi, a Japanese chin dog. Wasabi was also present at the event to encourage donors for Lola, which stayed at the Animal Specialty Center in New York.
Lola’s front legs were reportedly broken when her previous owner dropped her three weeks ago. Sadly, he cannot afford paying for additional surgeries.
